Please note, this title states clearly on the packaging that an internet connection is required for activation.
Should you fail internet activation disregard the telephone number shown on the failed connection screen and dial Midway Directly at 858-790-3900 while looking at the failed internet connection screen (M-F 9-6 Pacific). To force this screen to appear, unplug your internet connection from the back of your computer and click on "activate." You must be viewing this screen to enter the 16-digit "access code".
You may also contact Midway Tech/Customer Support (using "Ask a Question" above) with the following information and we will provide the required activation code(s):
16-digit alphanumberic Serial Key from back of game manual
16-digit numeric Access code / key from failed internet connection screen (detailed above)
Make sure to include your email and phone number in case we need to contact you
NOTE: If you have reached the maximum number of activations for your serial key (due to either hardware changes, reinstalling, or whatever the reason), you may be required to provide "registration" information to activate beyond what is provided for using the automated system (3 activations--no questions asked). Midway will not provide access codes or activation assistance for unregistered serial keys.
Notes on Serial / Access / Activation codes:
- Serial Code (alpha numeric / on the manual back cover)
- If your manual does not have a serial key on the back cover (bottom) you must return it to the retailer for a replacement.
- Access Code (16 numeric digits / unique code generated from Serial Code and your hardware profile -- displayed on the internet activation failure screen and required for phone activation)
- You only see this Access code if you fail at internet connection;
- This code is *required* for phone activation
- Activation Code (16 numeric digits provided by phone activation)
- You never see this code if you activate over the internet as specified
- This is the number that you receive from the activation (either automated or live) and you must enter this into the failed internet activation screen to manually activate your game

The Serial Key to install your game is located on the back cover (bottom) of the manual. Midway's (US/Canada) release of Earth 2160 requires internet activation. Internet activation takes only seconds and requires nothing but an installed game with a valid serial key -- and an active internet connection. This process is the quickest and easiest way to activate. Please make sure you are connected to the internet before clicking on the Activate Now button.
If your internet activation fails, the software will display a page that contains instructions to activate by phone. You must be looking at the failed internet activation screen to proceed with phone activation. You will see a toll-free number and a 16-digit access code that you will need to provide on the telephone. This is an automated system into which you can enter your access code and then you will be provided an activation code. You will need to enter the activation code provided on the filed activation screen in order to complete the activation. Please remember to write down both your access and activation code for future reference.
Should customers fail both the internet activation and the automated telephone activation, they can phone our activation support line. This is a toll call. This number will provide live support for activation provided users have failed both internet and automated phone activation. No game support will be provided; this line is only to provide activation assistance. Under certain circumstances live activation will not be possible and you will be referred to Midway for further assistance.
If you fail activation for too many hardware changes (you get 3 installations/hardware changes no questions asked) you will need to do the following:
Unplug your computer from the network or internet connection and click "Activate Now" (this will cause automatic failure for not connection)
While looking at the failed connection screen call:

The activation assistance agents will be able to assist you with the 16-digit numeric number displayed on this screen. In cases where multiple activation beyond the three provided you may be required to provide proof of purchase/ownership and speak with Midway Technical Support directly.
