o How does it work?
§ Whenever you apply for various credit and non-credit services (e.g. credit cards, retailer credit, wireless purchases, payday loans, etc) with a grantor or service provider in our extensive network, LifeLock receives a proactive notification from the organization taking your application. LifeLock then promptly notifies you to ensure that the application was indeed from you, and not a fraudulent application using any component of your identity.
o What system does LifeLock use to detect my information?
§ LifeLock uses an extensive network which includes many of the largest credit grantors and service providers in the nation to detect and reduce application fraud early in the application process.
o How do you know when my information is being used?
§ If a credit or non-credit application is submitted to a credit grantor or service provider in our extensive network, member’s unique identity data elements are processed through that network and if any element matches any of the identity data we have on file for the member we make contact.
