If you are receiving emails with the subject title "CareerBuilder.com Job Matches," then these emails are automatically generated after you apply to a job posting on Careerbuilder or post your resume. These are jobs that are similar to the one that you have applied to or from keywords on your resume, but they may not be exactly what you are looking for. Also, keep in mind that you can receive these emails without being registered with us, so do not be alarmed if you cannot sign in to edit the preferences. You can make several edits to these emails by going through links located on the email itself.

First, if you would not like to receive the “Job Recommendations,” simply click the “Unsubscribe” link located at the bottom of the "Job Matches" email.

Secondly, if you like them and would simply like to edit the location the jobs are from or change the email address they are being sent to, you can click on the link at the top of the email that says “See all your recommended jobs.” Once you click on this link, you will be taken to Careerbuilder.com where you will see a listing of your recommended jobs.

You can edit your preferences by two options. You will see the links, “Preferences" or "Add Locations" toward the top of the page, and if you follow any of those links, you will be able to change the location and email address. Please click the “Save and return to Recommendations” button when you are finished.

If you notice that your job alerts are not sending you the location that you are interested in, you have to go in and specify which city you want jobs from.

1. Click on “My Careerbuilder” and sign in using your email address and password.
2. Under “Saved Searches,” click on “Edit” for the Job Alert that you would like to change.
3. Change the information to reflect your desired criteria (i.e. the location of interest) and click “Save Edits.”
