Where is my job? (Job Tabs)

Where’s My Job? (Job Tabs):

Have you posted a job and can’t find it on the site for whatever reason?  The job may just be in one of our other tabs that help with organization of the jobs you post on our site.  Let’s take a look at each one and what they mean to you when posting on CareerBuilder.

Active Tab

       ·         The deleted tab is where any jobs can be found that were manually deleted from their active status.  You may want to do this if the position has been filled.  Jobs can be edited and relisted here just as in the expired tab.  Also like the expired tab jobs only stay here for 60 days before being purged from the site.

Expired Tab

        ·         The expired tab is where jobs immediately go after they have been on CareerBuilder for their designated posting period.  These jobs can be edited, their applicants reviewed, and archived.  However, they are not viewable by job seekers unless relisted.  This can be done utilizing the same method as editing a job but the relist link is located just to the left of the edit link.  You may also use the bulk features to the left of each posting in the main tab page. Jobs will stay in the Expired tab for 60 days before being purged from the CareerBuilder system.

Deleted Tab

         ·         The active tab is where you can find those jobs that are currently searchable by job seekers.  This is the most used tab where edits to current postings can be made and you can view applicants to all active postings.  Jobs will appear here immediately after posting but may initially be in our new   Pending tab which we will cover in just a moment.

Archived Tab

        ·         The archived tab is useful for any job you may have a continued need for in the future.  Jobs placed in this tab stay here permanently.  You can place jobs in this tab from the previous 3 tabs mentioned.  The ability to relist and edit jobs in this tab is also available.

Pending Tab

        ·         The Pending tab helps protect the integrity of CareerBuilder and the value of your postings.  Jobs may appear here for one of two reasons:

      1)       Random jobs will be placed here for review from our Site Integrity Specialists.  They are looking for any jobs that would violate our posting rules such as those that are fraudulent or inappropriate.  Don’t worry because jobs found here will only stay for typically less than two business hours and will automatically be moved to the active tab.  No work required on your part and no worries by job seekers, all good things.

      2)       Jobs may also appear here if the posting process was not completed.  In an effort to help save your work  the pending tab will house all postings that were cancelled out of for reasons like disconnected internet service.  Be sure to check this tab and complete any postings that need to be active on the site.

Tip:  Be sure to take advantage of this organizational feature on CareerBuilder to make the most out of the work you put into creating job postings!
