Let’s look at the facets of this page in more depth:
Section II – Managing Candidates
Once in a list of saved applicants you will notice that many new terms and icons appear next to each resume summary line. In this section we will explain a little about what each of these mean to you and how to capitalize on them.
A saved resume list will appear as:

1) Quick Search
The top box will contain two search areas to quickly search through your saved candidates:
· The ‘Refine your search’ area allows users to search through resumes by keyword just as if this is your own private database of candidates.
· The ‘Narrow Search’ feature allows for a zoom in on specific areas such as city or contact email.
Taking advantage of this top area can allow for efficient searches within saves resumes for specific candidates.
2) Bulk Features
There are check boxes to the left of each resume. These allow for bulk selection of resumes to perform tasks in the drop down box at the bottom of the page. Some examples are:
· Emailing Candidates
· Printing Resumes
· Adding Resumes to a Folder
· Forwarding Applications on to other email addresses
These bulk features were designed to save you time when dealing with vast numbers of applicants.
3) Screener Score
This area will display the screener score for resumes received from job applicants where a screener had been attached to the associated job posting. For more information on screeners please see the related section in our help link.
4) R2 Job Level Beta
The R2 feature utilizes a matching technology to find relevant candidates. The job level rank is determined based on years of experience listed within an applicants resume.
5) R2 Autoscore Beta
The autoscore feature works off of the same R2 technology previously mentioned and gives a candidate anywhere from 0-5 stars with 5 being the most applicable candidate based on the position applied for and the job seekers resume. This is a great general guideline for reviewing candidates but be sure to review other candidates to ensure quality hiring practices.
6) Stage
You can list which stage of the hiring process specific candidates are in for other users on your account to view. Creation of these takes place in the ‘My Account Info’ section and can be referenced in our help guide for more information.
7) Rating
Users also have the ability to rate candidates on a scale of 1 through 10. This can be referenced by other users or it can be used to keep you organized when dealing with resumes on CareerBuilder.com.
8) Flags
Three flags can be set to list a candidate as Good, Needs further reviewing, or Unacceptable. To set these, you can do so on the left side of any individual resume. You may also see three gray shadows of flags on a resume list to the bottom right of each resume where the flag setting can be clicked here as well. Flags are a colorful, easy to view form of ranking candidates for quick efficient candidate management by yourself and others on your account.
