Non-Traditional Job Postings are positions or Business Opportunities which vary from regular W-2 or 1099 job listings. These opportunities typically require a fee or investment for software, start up kits, services, or registration.  

Under certain circumstances we do allow positions to be posted on our site which may require a fee from Job Seekers. Such positions are listed within our Business Opportunity and Franchise community. These companies are advertising to seek participation in certain opportunities, such as to purchase a franchise or to start a home-based business. These specialized offers are considered legitimate opportunities even though they may require a fee. You should carefully research each opportunity and review if they are appropriate for you due to the investment required.

Business Opportunity and Franchise positions will be identified by disclaimers within the posting that list what type of financial investment may be required in order to participate. Most positions will be identified in search results by a Green Dollar-Sign ($) icon along with some additional information in both search results and within the post itself. If you see the icon, you can click on the “More >>” link to see the full description of a Non-Traditional Job.  Within the information box, you will also find a link which allows you to exclude Non-Traditional posts from any future search results.
