You may receive an “email undeliverable” or “fail” message if the employer entered an incorrect email address, the inbox is full or the company may be blocking CareerBuilder emails.


If for some reason you have received an “email undeliverable” or “fail” message and did not receive a confirmation email within a couple of hours of applying, contact Customer Service at 866.438.1485. We are available Monday through Friday from 8:30am until 8:30pm (Eastern Time).


If you received the confirmation email with the subject line “Thank your application was received (Job Title), then your application has been saved on the employer‘s account to view the next time the employer logs into CareerBuilder.


However, all applications are saved on the employers account just in case there is an error in the email delivery method. Therefore even if you receive a delivery failed message, your application will still be seen by the employers, reducing the chance of your application being lost.
