A telephone phishing scam is a phone call that tries to get you to part with your personal and financial account information.
For example:
You receive an automated phone call stating that your debit or credit card has been placed on a "hold" status and that in order to active the card(s) you must call an 800 number and enter your 16 digit card number. It may also request additional information such as PIN, expiration date or even your social security number.
Remember that Global Credit Union will never initiate a call or email for this information as we already have it on file. If you receive such a call please contact the credit union immediately.
