Overdraft: An overdraft occurs when a check, ACH (automatic debit), debit card or ATM transaction posts against your checking account and you do not have sufficient funds to cover it.

Overdraft Protection: These are various options to cover your account in the event of an overdraft. These options include automatic transfers from your other Global accounts such as savings, credit card, line of credit or Advantage Pay.   Transfers from your primary savings account are set up for you automatically when your account is opened.   You may set up additional accounts to use for transfer when you complete an enrollment form to set up a credit card, line of credit or Advantage Pay for overdraft protection.  For more information please contact us.
