In order to protect your identity and keep your finances secure, eBranch will challenge you when making certain transactions or changes to your account. You might be challenged for identity verification for the following reasons:
Scheduling or editing a bill payment
Scheduling of editing a transfer
Updating your address, phone number or security settings
Adding or editing a secondary user
Performing transactions out of your normal online banking behavior
It will look like this:
If you choose to answer a set of questions, you must answer correctly to complete the transaction.
If you choose to receive a phone call, the system will call your phone number on file. When you receive the call the system will prompt you to enter a code provided on the screen into your phone’s keypad to complete the transaction.
If you choose to receive a text, you will be texted a code and asked to enter the code into the module provided on your screen in order to complete the transaction.
If you close the browser or fail to perform the above challenges, our security system will see this as risky behavior and will not perform the transaction.
We have these security features in place to alert you any time our system detects risky behavior. This will allow you to have peace of mind knowing your account is always being monitored for suspicious behavior.
