Question/Topic
If I experience a financial hardship such as job loss or medical problem, are there any programs available to assist me with my house payments?
Answer/Article

In some cases, Kentucky Housing Corporation (KHC) will work with loan customers to help them keep their homes through difficult times.  Often times, a short term repayment plan may be all that is needed to bring the loan current. There are also instances where a restructure of the loan may be made in order to retain ownership.   However, these options are reviewed on a case by case basis and may not be available to everyone.

Please review additional options on HUD’s counseling Web site and feel free to call Kentucky Housing’s Collections Department at (800) 341-5622, extension 205, 211, 217, 311, 333, 339 or 484 for more information. If you are experiencing difficulty or hardships, the best tool that we have to offer is Communication.  Please keep our Collections Department updated with any changes or problems that you are experiencing.

If you have further questions regarding your mortgage payment and you are unable to locate the answer on the Info Center, please submit a question online by selecting the "Ask a Question" option located at the top of your screen.
