A PPO is a freedom-of-choice health plan that allows you to self-refer to any approved provider type in most cases, but usually provides a higher reimbursement if the provider contracts with the plan. PEBB offers the Uniform Medical Plan PPO (UMP PPO) and the Uniform Dental Plan (UDP), administered by the Washington Dental Service.
