You are automatically the beneficiary for your enrolled dependent's insurance if you are living at the time of the dependent's death. If you are not living at that time, payment will be made to your surviving spouse or qualified/state-registered domestic partner, children, or parents in that order. If none survive, payment will be made to your estate.
