How does UMP cover mastectomy and breast reconstruction?

This benefit covers mastectomy as treatment for disease, illness, or injury, as well as:

  • Reconstruction of the breast on which the mastectomy was performed.
  • Surgery and reconstruction of the other breast to produce a symmetrical appearance.
  • Prostheses.
  • Physical complications of all stages of the mastectomy.
