How can I get a list of my medical expenses for the year?

Get a List of Your Medical Expenses for Tax Purposes or Flex Account Reimbursement

You can download a list of all medical claims that includes your out-of-pocket responsibility from your online medical account. Here's how:

  • Login to your online medical account. (If you don't have an online account set up, select "register here.")
  • Click "Find a Claim" (in left-hand column, under "My Claims").
  • Scroll down and select the following options:
    • "Select here to define your search"
    • Under Coverage type, select "Medical"
    • Select the patient(s) whose claims you want
    • Under "Date of Service," type in a date range.
  • Click "Submit."
  • This will bring up a list of claims according to the criteria you selected.
  • To download this summary for your records, click "Download Claim Summary Information" (at the top of the list). (Or you can just print by using your browser's print function.)
  • Save the file to your computer. This will save as a "csv" file, which can be opened in many software programs, including Excel or other spreadsheet programs. You can then sort and total your expenses.

TIP: If you have questions about a claim, you can return to the online Claims Summary and click on any claim to see details. You can even send a secure message to UMP Customer Service with questions about the claim; just click "Ask a Question About this Claim."

If you have any problems or questions, call UMP Customer Service at 1-800-762-6004.
