TIP: Because vaccines aren't covered at all network pharmacies, it's important to show your member ID card to the pharmacist before receiving a vaccine.
TIP: Members under age 12 can get vaccines at a network provider's office or through a public health department.

When your doctor's office doesn't have the vaccine you need, pharmacies that give vaccines can be a convenient alternative. Call the pharmacy ahead of time to make sure it has the vaccine you need.

Participating pharmacies in the chains listed below can provide vaccines to UMP Classic and UMP CDHP members. Contact your local pharmacy for age limitations.

  • Albertson's/Savon/SuperValu
  • Bartell Drugs
  • Fred Meyer/Kroger
  • Kmart
  • QFC
  • Rite-Aid/Eckerd
  • Safeway
  • Target
  • Top Food & Drug/Haggen

Many independent pharmacies also provide vaccines. Call Washington State Rx Services at 1-888-361-1611 to ask if your local pharmacy does.

The plan also pays for vaccines received at local public health departments, but you usually have to pay up front and get reimbursed later. You must use a medical claim form PDF to be reimbursed for a vaccine you pay for out of pocket.
