Bye, Bye Travelers Checks!
8.83 out of 10 (6 Ratings)
As we know, things are always changing. In this case, it’s travelers checks. Most retailers, merchants and other businesses in the United States and abroad no longer accept them or checks of any kind and instead accept only cash and credit or debit cards. So the time has come to say goodbye to travelers checks at WSECU.
We know you might be wondering about the best and safest way to pay during your travels. While it’s always a good idea to carry a small amount of cash, it isn’t safe to carry large amounts. With fraud protection and replacement services, our Visa
debit and credit cards are your safest option. If you have either or both cards, you’ll only pay the exchange rate that we are charged – currently 1% – for converting the foreign transaction to U.S. dollars. There are no extra fees involved.
We’re sorry if this causes any inconvenience and we hope the most convenient – and most secure – payment options will work as well for you on your travels as they do when you’re at home. We also have more travel tips to share
. Give us a call if you have any questions.
