The IRS requires lenders to issue a 1098 interest tax form for mortgage interest if the lender received $600 or more in interest during the calendar year on a dwelling secured loan tied to real property.

If you paid less than $600 during the calendar year, or the home is not tied to real property (such as a mobile home in a park), Advantis does not generate a 1098 tax form.

If you didn't receive a 1098 tax form form this does not mean the interest you paid on your loan is not tax deductible. You should consult a tax advisor to determine if the interest paid on a dwelling secured loan is tax deductible.

Members who do not receive a 1098 tax form can find out how much you paid in interest by logging into online banking and selecting your loan and then the Account Details tab. It is also available on the final statement of the calendar year for your mortgage loan.
