The IRS requires lenders to issue a 1098 interest tax form for mortgage interest if the lender received $600 or more in interest during the calendar year on a dwelling secured loan tied to real property.

If you paid less than $600 during the calendar year, or the home is not tied to real property (such as a mobile home in a park), Advantis does not generate a 1098 tax form.

If you didn't receive a 1098 tax form form this does not mean the interest you paid on your loan is not tax deductible. You should consult a tax advisor to determine if the interest paid on a dwelling secured loan is tax deductible.

Members who do not receive a 1098 tax form can find out how much you paid in interest by logging into online banking and selecting your loan and then the Account Details tab.
