The quickest way to categorize a transaction is through the Accounts widget. You can also categorize transactions through the Budget widget, but to do that you have to set up a budget first.

From either widget (Accounts or Budget):
  1. Click the account title you want to categorize the transactions in.
  2. Select the Transactions tab.
  3. Click Uncategorized and select the appropriate category from the drop-down menu.
  4. For more options, select Split or Manage at the bottom of the drop-down.
  5. Adjust the dollar amount between categories.
  6. Click Save.
