If you're using the Monterra Mobile App, follow the steps below. For computers, go to the desktop steps

 
Click on the “More” then “Transfer & Pay” and finally “Transfer Money”
 
Click on “Add Account”
 

Instant Account Verification – Select this option if you can log into your online banking at the other institution. Otherwise use manual method

 
Select the option to “Add an External Account”
 
Search for your other financial institution and select it from the list of options
 
Enter in your online banking credentials for the other institution
 
Select the method of multi-factor authentication that you would like to use
 
Enter in the verification code and then “Submit”
 
Select the account(s) you would like to add on as external accounts and then “Save & finish”
 
When it is completed successfully you will see this notification
 

Manual method – Select this option if you cannot log into your online banking at the other institution. Otherwise use instant account verification method

 
 
Select the option to “Manually Add an External Account”
 
 
Select if you are adding a “Checking” or “Savings”
 
Enter in the requested information and then select “Continue”
 
Select the method of multi-factor authentication that you would like to use then “Send Code”
 
Enter in the verification code and then “Verify”
 
You will need to follow the steps outlined at the end of the process to verify your account via the trial deposits and then you will be able to make transfers to the external account
 
 

Desktop

If you’re using a computer, follow the steps below. For mobile devices, go to the mobile steps


After logging into your Monterra online banking hover over “Transfer & Pay” then select “Transfer Money”


Select the “From Account” and then select “Add an Account”

Method 1: Instant account verification – Select this option if you can log into your online banking at the other institution. Otherwise use the Manual Method



Search for your other institution and select it from the list


You will need to input your “User ID” and your “Password” for the other institution and then “Submit”


You will be prompted to complete multi-factor authentication. Select the method you would like to use and then “Submit”


Enter in the “Confirmation Code” then “Submit”


You will be able to select the account(s) you would like to link and then “Save & finish”


When everything works correctly then you will be given a “Success” confirmation

Method 2: Manual – Select this option if you cannot log into your online banking at the other institution. Otherwise use the Instant Account Verification Method

From the drop-down options select if the account you’d like to add on is a “Checking” or a “Savings” account

Enter in the required information (Routing number, Account number, Confirmation of Account Number, and Nickname) then click “Continue”

You will be prompted to complete multi-factor authentication. Select the method you would like to use and then “Verify"

You will need to follow the steps outlined at the end of the process to verify your account via the trial deposits and then you will be able to make transfers to the external account
