A browser (often called a Web browser) is a program that enables you to surf or browse the Internet, allowing you to visit World Wide Web (WWW) sites and interact with them.  The most common browsers in use today are Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer.  Most computers today come with Web browsers preinstalled and with fairly easy instructions on how to connect to the Internet.
