What is Guaranteed Asset Protection (GAP)?

If your vehicle is deemed a total loss due to an accident, the amount you owe on your Redwood Credit Union auto loan may be more than your insurance settlement. Guaranteed Asset Protection (GAP) helps to cover that remaining loan balance.
