Why was I charged an NSF (Non-sufficient Funds) fee?

When a transaction or a check is presented for payment and it is more than the available balance in the account, a non-sufficient fund fee is charged each time the transaction or a check is presented by the originating company/merchant. See our Cost Recovery Schedules for Personal Accounts and Business accounts for details.

RCU offers a variety of Overdraft Services and educational tips to help you avoid non-sufficient fund fees.
