The unsuccessful attempt notice applies to both RCU Online banking and Telephone Teller, so it applies to anyone who has access to the account, either online or by phone. In online banking, the message is generated when the correct Username is entered, but not the correct password for that Username. Most of the time, that occurs through simple user typing error.

However, if that is not the case, if someone is using the Username without permission, it only makes sense to change it. If you are unsure, you might consider just keeping an eye on things and seeing if you have additional issues with online access.

You may change your Username in RCU Online by clicking on the Profile tab and then clicking on Password & Security, or by contacting our Member Service Center at 1 (800) 479-7928.
