Cookies are small pieces of data that websites use to understand and identify who you are. If your computer settings are adjusted in such a way that RCU cannot identify you from your Cookies, it may cause connection issues. To adjust these settings to be compatible with RCU, please follow the directions below:

FireFox will most likely reset cookie settings back to default every time the browser updates itself. Please always double check the settings after an update is performed. 

To check or change your settings:

  1. At the top of the Firefox window, click on the Tools menu and then select Options
  2. Select the Privacy option on the left. 

  1. Set Firefox will: to Use custom settings for history.
  2. Check Accept cookies from sites
  3. Make sure Accept-Third Party cookies is set to ALWAYS.

  1. Choose how long cookies are allowed to be stored:
  2. Keep until: they expire (Recommended): Each cookie will be removed when it reaches its expiration date, which is set by the site that sent the cookie.
  3. Keep until: I close Firefox: The cookies that are stored on your computer will be removed when Firefox is closed.
  4. Keep until: ask me every time: Displays an alert every time a website tries to send a cookie, and asks you whether or not you want to store it.
  5. Close the Tab on the top to exit the Options screen.
