What do you mean by available balance?

Your available balance is the amount in your account that is not currently on hold. Visa Debit card transactions and check holds can affect your available balance.

Some examples are:

• Merchant holds are placed when you use your Visa debit card as a Visa transaction or Point of Sale(POS) transaction.
• Check holds will affect your balance and decrease the amount available for you to use with purchases, withdrawals, checks or ATM transactions.
