Thanks to the generosity of over 12,000 donors, Redwood Credit Union’s Lake County Fire Victim’s Relief Fund received $2.5 million in contributions in 12 weeks to support the victims and relief efforts in the aftermath of the Rocky, Jerusalem and Valley fires in Lake County in the fall of 2015.

The fund was created by Redwood Credit Union Community Fund, Inc. (RCUCF) in partnership with Redwood Credit Union and the Press Democrat and in conjunction with Senator Mike McGuire. Many local community advisors were engaged for input, including county officials (OES, Cal Fire, Sheriff’s Office, etc.), agencies, superintendents, nonprofits and community leaders.
