How does a bankruptcy show on my credit report?

Bankruptcy may show on your credit report depending on whether you reaffirmed the debt or not. If you did reaffirm, then the credit report will show the debt as such on credit reports and the payments will be reported as paid on time or not. If you do not reaffirm, then the loan will show as discharged through bankruptcy and the payments will not report, even if made in a timely manner.
