Problem Definition:

How to Reset the admin password on 7.X software version?


Resolution or Workaround:
(Include screenshots wherever applicable)

Only for software:

 

Please go to the folder where you installed Email Security software and go to SonicwallES/data folder and search for multi_accounts.xml file.

 

Rename multi_accounts.xml file and restart Apache tomcat service from services.msc.

 

Now goto start->All Programs->Sonicwall Email Security->Login

 

Email Security webUI will open up on new browser.

 

Enter default admin credentials as admin and password with No domain.

 

This will take care of the issue.

 

Note: Please open Email Security page on a new browser after restarting Apache Tomcat service. Trying to log in on an old browser may not work for resetting admin credentials.
