What is the correct account number format to use for electronic deposits and withdrawals?
There is a 13-digit processing number for direct deposit, payroll deduction and other automatic deposits and withdrawals on savings and checking accounts.
Transactions process more efficiently with this method of processing. However, there may be some previous formats that are still being used. Please be sure to verify that all of your current transaction information has been updated to this newer processing format.
To calculate the account number, you will use the following format:
1 (means Share Account) + 2 digit Share ID + Member Number** = 13 digits
**Member number needs to have proceeding zeros to fill the number out to 13 digits.
For example: If your checking account is ID 90, and your member number is 1234567, you would use the following calculation:
1(Share)+90(Share ID)+0001234567(Member Number with Proceeding Zeros) = 1900001234567.
If your savings account ID is 00, and your member number is 1234567, you would use the following calculation:
1(Share)+00(Share ID)+0001234567(Member Number with Proceeding Zeros) = 1000001234567.
