Are eStatements secure?

Yes.  Our eStatements use:

  • SSL encryption and HTTPS
  • proxy environment so data does not sit on an internet accessible server
  • invited pull method (which requires login or authentication from home banking) rather than push method, which would send account information across the internet

In fact, your statement is safer online than in your mailbox.  According to the FTC, identity theft is generally a "low tech" crime.  Theives tend to pilfer mailboxes and garbage cans.
