AAA is one of only two private entities in the U.S. authorized by the U.S. Department of State to issue an IDP.*
 
There are two ways to apply for your IDP: 

In Store

• Fill out the form
• Provide 2 passport photos (available at AAA stores – FREE for premier Members)
• A valid U.S. driver’s license
• $20 permit fee (cash, credit card, check or money order)
• Visit our store locator

 
Via Mail

• Fill out the form
• Provide 2 passport photos (available at AAA stores – FREE for premier Members
• A copy of the front and back of your valid U.S. driver’s license
• $20 permit fee (check or money order, NO CASH)

Please be advised that International Driving Permits may not be issued more than six (6) months in advance of desired effective date.
