Associate memberships are available to the Primary Member's spouse and unmarried dependent children under 21 years of age living in your home, and through age 25 if attending an institution of continuing education as a student. If your student is going to school in another state, you may still add them to your membership. They will be added as an associate to your membership with your address, provided they meet the criteria for associate membership.

You can add a family member to your membership by selecting Add a Family Member from the Membership drop down menu. You will be asked to log in to access this feature where you can then easily navigate through the Add a Family Member process by completing any information required and clicking Continue. Once all information has been gathered and form of payment selected, click Submit Payment and you are done.

To add a family member if your membership is in renewal, please click on Add A Family Member from the drop down menu under Membership. Once on the Add A Family Member page, please click on the blue button Add A Family Member. You will be given a notice that your membership is due for renewal and that you have the option to add an associate(s) or change your membership plan during the renewal process. If that is what you want to do, please click the Continue button. On the Membership Renewal page, you can add your new associate by clicking on Add New Member in the bottom right corner of the Members section of this page. A dialog box will open for you to give the required information for your new associate. Once you click on Save, you will see the new associate under the Members section section along with the cost of the added member(s). At this time, you will then be able to click Continue and proceed with renewing your membership.

An associate receives the same membership benefits as the primary member. For example, a primary member receives the following benefits:

  • Towing
  • Battery jump-start/boost
  • Extrication and winching
  • Fuel Delivery services
  • Tire service
  • Vehicle lock-out service
  • Bicycle service
  • and more

Therefore, each associate on the account will have the same benefits available to them. You can review the AAA Membership Plan Benefits by clicking on Compare from the drop down menu under Membership. For further details, you can review the AAA Membership Handbook by clicking here.
