trusted contact is a person you designate that Monterra may contact if we are unable to reach you or need assistance verifying your well-being. This individual should be someone you trust, knows you well, and is at least 18 years old. 

Important: A trusted contact does not have access to your account and cannot: 

  • View balances or transactions  
  • Move money  
  • Make decisions or act on your behalf  

We may contact your trusted contact if: 

  • We cannot reach you  
  • We identify potential fraud or unusual activity  
  • You are traveling or otherwise difficult to contact  
  • An emergency or health-related situation arises
