1. What is Remote Deposit Capture (RDC)? It is a secure online service that allows you to deposit checks into eligible Progressions Credit Union (PCU) accounts from your iPhone or Android device. A check can be photographed with the camera feature on a smartphone. The images and associated deposit information are delivered to PCU electronically.

2. Who is eligible for RDC? You must be a member for at least 30 days, be signed up for online banking, you must have a parent or guardian on your account if you are under 18, your accounts (including any loans or credit card) must be in good standing, you may not have caused the credit union a loss and you have agreed to our online services agreement and the End User Agreement for RDC. PLEASE NOTE: The credit union reserves the right to set lower limits or deny this service at its discretion.

3. What are the transaction limits?
    A. Maximum Check Amount: $5,000.00  
    B. Maximum Deposit Per Day: $10,000.00
    C. Maximum Number of Check Items Per Day: 10
    C. Maximum Deposited by RDC every 30 days is: $20,000.00

4. When will my deposit be posted: Checks are reviewed by Credit Union personnel between the hours of 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM Monday thru Friday excluding credit union holidays. RDC checks deposited between this time frame will be deposited by 5:00 PM, if accepted. Deposits made after 4:00 PM will be reviewed for deposit the following business day. Generally, funds will be available for withdrawal the next Business Day after a deposit. However, in some cases, funds availability may be delayed up to the 3rd Business Day after the day of deposit. You may also go online and check your account history to verify if your check has posted to your account. It is the sole responsibility of the member to verify that an RDC check(s) has/have posted to your account and that funds are available prior to accessing these funds by writing a check or using your ATM/debit card.

6. What do I do with the original item? To prevent deposit errors we recommend that you document the date of the RDC on the front of the check. For your protection, retain the original check for at least 60 days from the day of deposit.  

7. How do I need to endorse a check?  Per the End User Agreement, we require each check to be endorsed with the signature of the payee and “For PCU Remote Deposit Only”. Checks not containing this endorsement WILL BE REJECTED.

8. What happens if an issue arises with a discarded check? If an issue should arise and the original check is no longer available, please contact the issuer of the check to obtain a replacement check that can be re-submitted for deposit. The risk of loss associated with the accidental inclusion of a physical check in the check collection process or with a lost, destroyed, stolen or misplaced check shall rest exclusively with the member.

9. Are there fees for RDC? There is no fee for this service at this time; however, charges do apply for returned deposits and other transactions as outlined in our Rate and Fee Schedule. 

10. What types of checks can be deposited with RDC?   PCU accepts any check that is drawn on a US Financial Institution in US dollars. This includes: Personal Checks, Corporate/Business Checks, Cashiers’ Checks and Government Checks.

11. What types of checks CANNOT be deposited with RDC?
   A. Checks payable to parties that are not signers on the account
   B. Third party checks
   C. Checks with alterations
   D. Checks drawn on Financial Institutions outside of the US
   E. Checks requiring an authorization
   F. Savings Bonds
   G. Travelers Checks
   H. Money Orders
   I. Non-Negotiable items
   J. Returned Checks
   K. Foreign Checks
   L. Stale Dated Checks - Checks that contain instructions such as "Void 90 day after issue date". If no instructions are contained, the check is considered stale after 6 months from the issue date.

12. What types of account can I deposit to?  Savings, Checking, and Loan (excluding real estate loans with a 360 day interest calculation method) accounts.

13. How do I enroll? By enrolling in It's Me 247, our online banking program and accepting the online banking terms and agreements.

14. How do I deposit using RDC? Simply click on the “Deposit a Check” button found on the Progressions Credit Union Mobile App main menu, then tap the Deposit Check button that appears in the lower right corner of the screen. Just follow the prompts, click on the link to read the terms and conditions then click submit.

15. What are some reasons a deposit could be declined? Reasons that a deposited item may be declined include, but are not limited to, the following:
   A. Illegible check
   B. Duplicate check
   C. Non-negotiable
   D. Poor image quality
   E. Missing signature
   F. Daily limits exceeded
   E. Missing endorsement
   F. Unacceptable item
   G. Stale Dated
   H. Third Party Item
