Here is an overview of the Administrative Roles:

* These roles are meant to be assigned to internal users within your organization
* For someone outside the organization (e.g. a customer or member) simply do not select any of the roles
* The roles available are based on your organization's version of Virtual StrongBox

File Editor
  • View/Download all files in the organization File Library
  • View all exchanges sent To Users as well as exchanges From Users
  • Add, Edit, Delete files in the organization File Library
  • Create Exchanges of files in the File Library
  • Edit, Delete exchanges that have been created by the organization to users
  • Download files that have been sent to the organization by users
User Editor
  • View Current Users, Deleted Users, User Registrations
  • Add, Edit, Delete a User
  • Add, delete or modify roles assigned to users
  • Move User (if applicable), Lock User Account, Reset User Password, View Audit Trail (if applicable), Resend email verification
  • Restore a Deleted User
  • Import/Export Users
Report Viewer
  • If applicable view Users, User Access, Organizations, API Usage, Messages, Activity and User File Activity
  • If applicable export Users, User Access, Organizations, Activity reports
File Type Restriction Editor Allows the administrator to set/edit file types as restricted to prevent them from being exchanged to the organization or uploaded by an external user to a shared folder(s) created in the organization account

If applicable to the organization, can also set the restrictions that would be applied across all digital vaults.
Document Uploader Applicable when an organization has the "My Inbox" feature
  • Upload files directly to a designated user folder
  • View Current Users, Deleted Users, User Registrations
  • Add, Edit, Delete a User
  • Move User (if applicable), Lock User Account, Reset User Password, View Audit Trail (if applicable), Resend email verification
  • Restore a Deleted User
  • Import/Export Users
Group Editor
  • View current Account Groups
  • Add an Account Group
  • Edit, Delete an Account Group
  • Import a group
Upgrade Editor
  • View Users and Groups that can receive upgrades to storage space
  • Select an amount of storage space and apply it to the user and/or group
Organization Recycle Bin Manager Applicable when an organization only has the Organization Collaboration StrongBox License (no personal digital vaults)
  • Allows access to the recycle bin in the organization collaboration StrongBox
  • Permanently delete files/folders in the recycle bin
  • Restore files/folders in the recycle bin
Organization Selector
  • Allows the user to access the administrative side of other organizations within their organization tree
    • Menu actions available to the user if/when they switch will depend on their administrative role(s)
