To add two-factor verification to your login

Note: Two-factor authentication is not available if your digital vault is behind your provider's online banking or mobile app.  If this is how you access your digital vault, two-factor authentication should be turned on in front of those applications.

There are 2 multi-factor authentication choices available with our platform: Authenticator and Hardware Token
  • To set up two-factor verification         
    • Sign in to your digital vault
    • Click "My Profile" from the left navigation menu
    • Click the Two-Factor verification profile option and click "Manage"
  • You will be directed to the Two-Factor Verification setup page
  • Choose your desired verification method
    • Authenticator
      • Make sure you have the authenticator of your choice on your mobile device
      • Click the radio button to select Authenticator
      • Click "Next"
      • Open the authenticator application and scan the QR code or enter the provided code manually
      • Click "Next"
      • Validate the code presented in the authenticator application
      • Click "Next"
      • The next page will have a list of backup codes to print/retain
        • By enabling two-factor verification you will need to retain a copy of these backup codes.  Without your device/hardware token or a backup code you will be locked out of your account with no possible way of accessing your information
  • Once backup codes have been printed/retained click "Next"
  • Two-factor verification setup is now complete
  • Click "Done"
    • Hardware Token
      • Click the radio button to select FIDO2
      • Click "Next"
      • Click the "Add a FIDO2" key action button
      • Follow the security key setup process
      • Once complete the next page will be the backup codes page to print/retain
        • By enabling two-factor verification you will need to retain a copy of these backup codes.  Without your device/hardware token or a backup code you will be locked out of your account with no possible way of accessing your information
  • Once backup codes have been printed/retained click "Next"
  • Two-factor verification setup is now complete
  • Click "Done"
